VERSEWORKS

This is a poem.

Poetry, made live.

Verseworks is a multilingual poetry studio creating participatory experiences, performances, installations and commissions for festivals, cultural institutions, public spaces, hospitality and brands.

Poetry, happening here

Verseworks creates situations in which people encounter poetry by making it, speaking it, hearing it or becoming part of it.

A poem might begin with a conversation between two people.

It might emerge collectively across a festival.

It might be performed, projected onto a building,

written across a wall,

whispered into headphones or carried home in someone's pocket.

We turn audiences from spectators into participants.

a line, passed hand to hand

Give us a room. We'll find the poem in it.

Verseworks can appear almost anywhere: a museum, festival, hotel, dinner, public square, launch, performance or city wall.

  • Museum.
  • Festival.
  • Hotel.
  • Dinner.
  • Public square.
  • Launch.
  • Performance.
  • City wall.

Each experience is developed for the people and place it belongs to.

a language, arriving

Made in many languages

This is a poem.

Language shapes how we remember, express ourselves and connect with one another. Verseworks works with multilingual poets and collaborators to create experiences that reflect the language and cultural context of each audience.

One event may unfold in one language or many. The poem still begins in the same place: with someone listening.

A poem belongs here

Every project begins with its setting. We do not place the same format into every room. We consider who will be there, how they will encounter the work and what form the poetry should take.

From one poet at an intimate gathering to a multilingual programme across an entire festival, Verseworks can shape the concept, select the artists and support the experience from beginning to end.
